Pure inspiration: Third Start-up Night at THI

Exciting pitches, award ceremonies, and excellent networking opportunities: The third Start-up Night organized by the Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences offered all of this. Around 150 players from the start-up ecosystem in Region 10 took the opportunity to exchange ideas and initiate new projects.

Their concept was convincing: the winning team "SIJIU" (Photo: CoE).

Full house at the discussion with Andreas Fraas (Photo: CoE).

Eleven teams of THI students and employees presented their start-up ideas as part of "THI Founders" in four-minute pitches, which were judged directly by the audience.

This was followed by an interview with Andreas Fraas, Head of IP at the successful start-up AirUp. In it, Fraas gave insights into the history of AirUp and valuable tips for prospective founders.

The best ideas were then honored: First place and 600 euros in non-cash prizes were secured by Jessica Basista and Justin Wiggert with their concept for developing the online platform "SIJIU", which turns cocktail mixing into an evening-long group event. Other winners were Ankit Thakur and Tarun Verma with "Greenspot" and Simon Saulich, Marie Schaumann, and Viviana Niedung with their app "Share Away". The "Calima" team impressed with their packaging-free shower tap in the "Sustainable start-up idea" category.

With canapés, drinks, and cool music in the THI auditorium, the guests used the rest of the evening to chat, network, and forge ideas together.
